This book, like any other book has a long ancestry. This book bears the imprint of many people who have helped me understand the subject better. I have been fortunate to learn Signal Processing and Image Processing from teachers such as Dr. V. M. Gadre and Dr. R. Manchanda from I.I.T. Bombay. Complex concepts of Mathematics and Physics were taught with, great care by excellent teachers like Dr. K. K. Theckedath, Late Prof. M. Jamalabad, Prof. S. Khandeparkar, Prof. Dharkar, Late Prof. S. Yardi and Late Prof. Jagdish Theckedath from Wilson College. I can never thank them enough.
