Electrical machines is a major applied engineering subject in Electrical Engineering. At degree level under curriculum of University of Pune, this subject is in two parts-Electrical Machines-I, Electrical Machines-II in second year and third year engineering respectively. From academic year 2017, the Electrical Machines-II syllabus is revised. This book is written as per this revised syllabus. The subject mainly deals with synchronous machines (synchronous generator and motors), single phase AC series motor, single phase induction motors and performance analysis of these machines. A brief treatment is given to speed control of three phase induction motor, energy efficient motors and super conductor generator. I have tried my best to arrange the contents of book in simple and effective way. Sufficient numbers of numericals are added with solution. The university questions are also solved that can help the students for effective preparation for the exams.
